Review Criteria
While there are many fraternities out there, when looking for the one for you there of course are certain criteria to look for. The first criteria you need to identify when out searching for a fraternity would have to be campus involvement. The reason you need to assess the fraternities’ campus involvement is because this is where you can get involved and make strides around the campus or community, it also opens up opportunities for the fraternity itself and makes the public image of the fraternity much better. Another criterion to look for would be the size of the chapter you are thinking about joining, this is important because a smaller fraternity has a harder time getting things accomplished and is not as well respected, while at the other end of the spectrum a fraternity that is too large usually impedes true brotherhood because members don’t even know all of the brothers in their chapter very well. The third criteria would be athletic prowess, everyone likes to win and if you join a fraternity you want it to also be a winner at sports as well as events such as sorority philanthropies, its important because it again shows that your fraternity is talented and it helps at rush to say that you play well in sports. The fourth criteria is money raised for charities/community service, this is very important you want to have a well rounded fraternity that not only has fun but also helps out the community around it again helping the overall image of the fraternity.

Audience
The audience for my paper about Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity would mostly consist of incoming freshman males at UCF, ages 17-19. Also part of the audience would consist of male sophomores and juniors already attending UCF from the age range of 19-21. These guys would probably be the social type who wants to meet more people and probably party (because that’s the common stereotype of fraternities)but when rushing would find out that fraternities are much more than just parties they would find it also involves philanthropic work, leadership opportunities and campus involvement. If this is not something they would be interested in then they probably wouldn’t be the right person for a fraternity and they would figure that out very quickly. Whether or not the afore stated obligations fit them or not would be a great measurement of their character. But with fraternities there is always the business aspect and the social aspect and when it comes to rush it is up to the person rushing to find the balance that fits them best. They would probably rush with friends they already have say from high school or who they have met through classes while attending UCF what their friends believe in or are interested in would not necessarily dictate what fraternity they would choose either because everyone is different so while they are friends they may not necessarily got to the same fraternity. What could hurt someone in not knowing when rushing is that not everyone in a fraternity gets along, there are cliques or groups of people who are better friends than other groups, it is just human nature most people do not realize this fact when rushing. In order to keep up with what fraternity might fit them best before rush would to check out the IFC website and check records of who has won what and who has raised money for charities or done community service lately. They would most likely when rushing be looking at the benefits of a fraternity as being creating close bonds with a group of men that would last forever, having that person that would always be there for you, or maybe just a drinking buddy. Whatever they would be looking for they could find and hopefully directly benefit from in joining a fraternity whether it be getting involved on campus or doing community service or finding great brotherhood.
Plagiarism 101
1. We give number one a 2, and it most likely has a high potential to become plagiarism because if one is running behind and doesnt get done the potential is there to copy the others paper. We dont beleive it is justfiable because they chose the same topic as each other, they were not asssigned the same topic. In this instance it does because there essays were due at the same time for the same class and people are encouraged to study together in groups.
2. We give number two a 1, although it has high potential to become plagiarism because if he takes any lines used in the speech and uses them in the paper or vice versa it will be plagiarism. We believe it is fair because he has a heavy workload so he is using the same topic for two different assignments.
3. We give number 3 a 0 but it has very high potential for being plagiarism, the person could very well take the work already used and use it themself. We beleive its also fair because there is no reason you cant just look at someone else is work you do that everyday reading a textbook.
The university contributes to this by having an open forum online class.
4. We give number 4 a 4 also has a high potential for being plagiarism obviously, But not justifiable the person took anothers work and used it for there own work. University contributes by having open forum online class.
5. We give number 5 a 0, not plagiarism its copyright infringement.
